Zest Bar and Restaurant && Lusaka

My dinner, for Valentines, in Lusaka was pretty much disappointed as the Livingstone experience was excellent. Vegetables were cold. Service was slow, and drinks were not consistent in quality. The breakdown of communication between the waitress and kitchen left me with a smaller dish than ordered. Decor bit bland for a city location. Huge potential for improvement in all areas.

Funky barn-type atmosphere. The seating is not that comfortable because the chairs don't have back support. Meals are great. The fried fish is really tasty and recommended. The small fish is big enough for a grown man.

The outdoor set up makes good for conversation and enjoyment of the fresh air. I had a really good passion virgin mojito served in a generous cup! My word!!! I ordered grilled fish with nsima and the wait was too long. The food was well served and tasted ok...

The food was amazing, especially that Portuguese chicken! Service was top notch!!! For a big group with a wild variety of preferences, the waitress (who's name, I am only realising now, we didn't get) was patient and kind enough to talk us through to conclusion on what we would be having. The environment was just right, the issue was the music that would change according to whoever decided to plug their phone in as DJ. The music would start and stop and switch between genres uncontrollably and with no order which ultimately became annoying. But overall a good experience.

Quiet, it’s a good place to relax and have some traditional meals. The food is value for money as the portions are good.
