The atmosphere was very cozy and relaxing. The decor as the name says has a more natural feel with plants framing the place. We loved the intimate setting, just peace and quiet.
The service was top-notch, the staff made us feel welcomed. The waitress guided us through the process of picking our meals.
They have a variety of drinks from cocktails, mock tails to soft drinks and fresh juices.
Lastly, the meals exceed our expectations, leaving us with a desire to return. Their portions are enough to satisfy you on an empty stomach.
One of the few places that I would say deserves a 5-star rating in the city.
It's found in rhodespark, but I appreciate how quiet and serene this cafe is. You rarely hear the noise from the nearby roads/places. It's so green!!! I love their aesthetic, from their plants to decor. It just fits in so well with their name. I was happy to see that they sell plants/trees at such fair prices, too! Their music isn't loud, and it honestly just feels like you are in a literal garden, I enjoyed every minute of it.
I loved my quesadillas! (The portion is big enough to share among two people, I had to carry some home!). On their own, they were so soft and had crunchy ends. The filling was flavourful, and it had a great mix of sweet and sour to it. They had sour cream and guacamole as sides, and it just added to what was already so great. I was very impressed. I equally ordered freshly squeezed Orange and Carrot juice(twice). Other fruits were not available, so it was still a good drink to have. My dessert was two scoops of ice cream, impulse decision ,but still worth it.
The service was quite impressive. There was only one person who was by the bar as a bartender/waiter and I wish I could remember his name! He was very attentive to everyone who was there at the time(about 5 tables were taken). I wish he had more help, but he handled it so well. He knew the menu, what was available and what wasn't, he was quite helpful with everything else that I had questions about and he just seemed to be having a good time at his bar station when he wasn't on waiter duty.
I was impressed to find out that they have some personalized products that they hand make, I'd like to go back and try it out. For a place that randomly popped up on my Google maps as a recommendation, I was happy it didn't disappoint.
Bold, beautiful & flavourful ✨ it just felt like I could catch my breath, really cozy, absolutely my vibe! Highly recommend the Buddha Bowl with Thai Beef or Chicken. If you love Pork, you will mesmerised by the Pork Chops and creamest mashed potatoes ever! I love it each time I can get a meal that is fresh, from the earth with it’s integrity intact 🥹♥️ I am in love, I am obsessed! Don’t carry your kids though, no play ground which is fantastic.. sometimes you just wanna escape it all and I found this cafe really grounding 🍃 you will also find a small farm store its such a cute touch!
Dined at The Garden Cafe and Buddha Bar for breakfast. Love the atmosphere, lots of plants and greenery. Very friendly and welcoming service, great food, great value for money and great food presentation. They do great coffee too.
They also have a garden centre and a variety of plants for sale. Will definitely be back soon.
With a serene ambience and its garden setting, The Garden Cafe & Buddha Bar offers an OK dining experience. The food is tasty, especially fish and chips, and mostly reasonably priced. Service is attentive, while the location is convenient. It is a decent choice for a casual bite in Lusaka.
