The Collective offers a curated selection of unique, handcrafted Zambian designs in a convenient location (Agora Village on Thabo Mbeki Road in Lusaka). While prices are in USD and can be higher than markets, the quality and variety make it worth a visit for those seeking artisanal goods without the hassle of travelling to weekend markets.
Another hidden arts and crafts and coffee spot in Lusaka. It’s a must visit for both locals and tourists as the place has lots of great local hand crafted products and can be amazing gifts and souvenirs for your family and friends. Amazingly they do great coffee too and very friendly customer service, very welcoming. Highly recommend it if you’re living in/or visiting Lusaka.
The mural work is stunning and I truly appreciate it when street art is given a stage. My favorite room was the basket room with the baskets weaved by Congolese refugees. Again giving art that could have been buried a stage. Helpful staff and apparently a nice place to catch a cup of tea and cake as you stroll and muse.
