Mabula Restaurant Acacia park

I loved everything about this restaurant. The food was cooked to perfection. Service was a little slow in the beginning but picked up quite well. I am not a red meat fan, but I decided to try their surf and turf, and it was delicious. The Pan grilled Chicken Breast stuffed with ham & cheese was really good too. Their seafood was decent and tasted fresh. My sister tried the Grilled lamb chops served with rosemary potatoes, veggies & mint reduction sauce, and wasn’t really a fan but enjoyed her starter the Cruncy Prawns. The cocktails were great. I ordered a Caipirinha, and while it wasn’t as strong as I expected, our waitress had the bartender make the second one stronger. I had no issues with my second cocktail and the rest that followed. The Whisky Sour was perfect with no issues. All in all, I enjoyed myself and look forward to my next visit.

I loved the service, our waitress was so nice and very friendly. I absolutely love the new look, it’s definitely better than Afrigonia Woodlands. The food was not as great in comparison to what I have had at the Woodlands outlet. I usually order the roasted duck and lamb shank. We ordered the duck and lamb shank but we got lamb chops instead which were not enjoyed by my friend. We however loved the carrot cake and my shandy was lovely. I do commend the service as it made up for the food. I will give it another shot!

Thanks to Kenny, my waiter for the amazing service I received when I dined here. He was definitely aware of the menu and tried his best to be available to me without me constantly asking for him. He was efficient and well mannered. Grateful for the service, it's little things like this that make a restaurant worth going to. My food was good, my starter(Maristo prawns, calamari and crayfish) was a little plain, I could only taste "tomato" as the main flavor, I know that was the main ingredient but I wish it had more to it besides that. The main course(creamy prawns) was creamy, no complaints there. My dessert was a little dry, I wish it was softer and more moist. I'd love to emphasize how happy I am that they moved to a bigger space and how better the decor and environment is at this new outlet. It has more spaces for bigger crowds and seems suitable for family outings too. I love Afrigonia, it is probably one of the best restaurants we have in Zambia. This outlet seems to be having the same menu and vibe of the original restaurant, they could improve on the quality of the food as it does not match the main restaurants taste and flavor. That could be the main improvement they work on, everything else was fine by me.

We chose to visit due to the top tier ambiance but instantly fell in love with the place due to its mouth watering meals. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful as they even went on to help us select our meals. I must make mention that their menu is quite limited and unfortunately some of the meals on the menu weren’t available at the time we went there. We ordered from the breakfast menu because we wanted something light and the food was prepared and served in good time. You could tell that the food was carefully prepared as it was rich in flavor and was dripping sauce with each bite. Would definitely recommend them and will also visit them again soon!

So delicious! The flavors and sauces were so good. I had the salmon and husband had the lamb chop, but we shared both. We also had the crayfish for a starter, and the flavor was great, but I am admittedly not accustomed to eating them split, so it was a bit awkward for me. Also, there was some salsa and bread served, and the salsa was SO GOOD. We come from southwest US, and had been missing good fresh salsa. Hope we can purchase some to take home! The restaurant has beautiful atmosphere and design. Service was excellent. Prices reflect an upscale restaurant, and menu is a bit limited, but better to do a few things well! Menu is printed on paper and stapled, but I'm sure this will be more permanent/formal once they are open longer. Suggestions to improve would be expand menu with a few lighter options and maybe salad, a great cocktail menu, and desserts. Looking forward to future dinners here!
