A tranquil island of culinary pleasures. The menu offers creative choices of very well assorted and balanced dishes.
Located in a spacious garden in one of Lusaka's nice residential neighbourhoods, far away from noise pollution and concrete cement plastered malls.
UPDATE: 9 months later:
My favorite restaurant in Lusaka. Hands down. No one else gets close. Small menus, lovely food, high quality and consistent. Something so rare, especially in Lusaka. Long live Little Bird.
(old review:
So, why only 4 stars overall, if the food, service, and atmosphere were all 5 stars? I think that it’s a 5 star spot that needs some time to make sure they can keep up their consistency and excellence. A little hard to find the entrance without a sign but it’s a fabulous find once you do. Small menu (usually a good sign), lots of great food, nice ambiance and excellent coffee as well. Hope to visit multiple times and try more off the menu.)
Had an amazing breakfast/brunch at the newly opened Little Bird cafe & bistro. Loved the outdoor sitting area over looking the garden, great food presentation and amazing food. The menu is limited but they are good at what they do. They also have great coffee and cold pressed juices.
We order the smoked salmon Rosti, Little Birds Breakfast and banana bread. Will definitely be back soon. Left the cafe full and satisfied.
The best latte in Lusaka! Had the latte, French onion soup, chicken schnitzel with rocket salad and their hand cut fries. The food was delicious!!! Service was great! And they had umbrellas which we could use to walk to the car when it rained. Will definitely visit again to try their breakfast next.
My family and I have been frequenting Little Bird for breakfast for a long time now, but tonight was the first time we tried their dinner and it was incredible. The fried chicken burger was delicious, the steak was delicious, the charred broccoli was delicious and the pavlova was sensational (and as an Australian we know a thing or two about our pavlovas). The atmosphere was great for relaxing and talking while the service was very professional. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
