We had our wedding reception here several years ago, shortly before it was transformed into its classy present state. Today, we enjoyed a superlative breakfast in the top floor "Club Lounge". We received 5* service throughout - from a friendly front door greeting, through the excellent staff at breakfast, to the enjoyment of an imaginatively presented spread of delicious delicacies. Attention to detail here is unsurpassed in the entire Lusaka hospitality arena. We particularly commend doorman Ernest, Lounge waiter Aaron, breakfast Chef Priscilla (whose pancakes have to be tasted to be believed), and Lounge manager Donald. Staff, food, environment all tip top! Thank you all.
I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Intercontinental Hotel Lusaka. As a 5-star establishment, I expected a higher level of service and hospitality, but instead encountered poor service and discrimination from some staff. The service, particularly during breakfast, was notably slow, and housekeeping was lacking — only one water bottle was provided for the room, and I had to repeatedly request additional towels and water. Given the lack of attention to detail and hospitality, I would not recommend this hotel, especially for first-time visitors to Zambia.
We went for a BBQ. the food was good, service was good. They had live music. A nice place and a nice time. Well recommended for a nice out under the stars enjoying bbq and music. Will surely go again
A five star hotel with the best daily view and good staff especially the day when Gaz mixology was making the cocktails I really enjoyed them (interContinental)
As Intercontinental should be, generally has been and understands how to make a guest feel welcome.
Specifically for Lusaka, I , as a old fashion smoker who still believes that enjoying a smoke and even a
cigar along with a good Cognac or Scotch, the area for smoking is someone minimized.. but the smiles, the small nods, always makes it a great place whether for an afternoon coffee, a good meal, or a full night out
